- Testimonials

Joan Miller, Cyclist, Business Consultant, Lee’s Summit, MO

Mr. Parker comes with my highest recommendations. His credentials and extensive background
with professional sports teams are an excellent foundation to draw from. But it is really how he takes his knowledge and creatively puts it into focused planning that helps you achieve results that sets him apart from others that use the title of certified personal trainer.

I am a female who until after having children did not focus on my fitness. Then I became very immersed in achieving the best fitness I could. This path led me into mountain biking and road cycling which I took to a competitive level. As my fitness had increased I began to work with various trainers to help improve my strength, muscle tone and cycling performance. It wasn¹t until I began to work with Roberto Parker that I actually learned of the much larger and beneficial aspect of sports conditioning. I saw a great improvement in my strength and fitness in the first season after working with Roberto. That improvement has motivated me to continue and work to inspire others.

Some of the qualities I think Roberto brings to the table are the fact that he structures a program specifically for you and then in 4 to 6 weeks depending on your goals and level he changes the program. This keeps the boredom away, but most importantly it really gives you results. If you stay with the same program, you will plateau and not progress. He always plans it so you progress. Also, he really works with you within your abilities and goals. His approach helps you find an all around level of strength, balance and fitness. From the very beginning I have been impressed with his professional approach. He takes this business very seriously, but he makes it fun for you. That is a skill! I also think that Roberto is excellent in working with people. He listens and when he works with you he gives 110%, so he inspires you to do the same.

I have worked with other trainers and know that Roberto¹s programs are far beyond the programs I have received or seen. He really builds a multi-dimensional program, not just based on lifting weights, but on all around fitness for conditioning, balance and optimal health.

   Wayne Marble, Head Instructor/

Owner, Blue Springs Jujitsu, Blue Springs, MO

“At the Blue Springs Jujitsu school, we train athletes in the arts of
jujitsu, judo, boxing & kickboxing.  For the past couple of years, Roberto
Parker of IST has been working with our students getting them ready for
tournaments.  In the golden gloves finals last year, our boxers won every
match that they fought.  Our judo team has done extremely well also.  A
great part of our success has been Roberto Parker of IST working with our
fighters.  Before IST was working with us, many members of our team would
lift weights without really knowing how to do it properly and they would not
get their maximum gains.  The members of our school, do not really need big
muscles, they need explosive power, flexibility and an overall athletic
ability.  This is what IST has given our team over the last couple of years.
I would recommend IST to anyone who wants to improve their athletic
 ability”.

"If you are interested in getting to the next level as an athlete, or taking the first step to fitness then there is only one choice in the Midwest. My friend Roberto Parker has all the tools any athlete at any level could ever need.

It's not about the equipment, the facility or the location. It's about raising your level of fitness and performance. Everyone is an athlete and I highly recommend Roberto Parker be  your personal trainer. His individual attention to your needs will surpass your expectations”.

Jeff Walton, Former Head Basketball Coach,
Blue Valley High School, Stillwell, KS

Roberto Parker is the consummate professional.  He has a passion for helping people of all abilities in any sport or activity to become the best that he/she can.  Our basketball program at Blue Valley High benefited from the cutting edge ideas and tools that Roberto presented to us.  Core strength, functional strength, balance, and footwork became the focus of our off-season and in-season conditioning.

The thing I enjoyed most was watching Roberto work with our athletes.   Experience from the major college and professional arena from which he has been associated demanded the utmost attention from the athletes.  His ability to relate concepts and model drill techniques is second to none.  So, if you're looking for a way to improve the knowledge and implementation of your strength program, call Roberto Parker.  Coaches and athletes alike will be better for it”.

TJ Rehak, Gymnastics Coach, Xtreme Fitness Gymnastics, Lee’s Summit, MO

“Roberto has been training one of my Elite Trampolinist for the past three months.  Her overall strength and quickness have improved  since she has began the training sessions.  I like Roberto's overall lifestyle approach to his training.  He has helped my athlete to incorporate  a healthier diet and drink more water than pop.  This along with the functional training he provides we are looking to make the US World age Team”.

Dr. C. Michael Graham, DC,
Graham Chiropractic, Blue Springs,MO.
I have worked with Roberto Parker and IST for some time now. I am impressed with his knowledge of body biomechanics and his ability to apply these fundamentals to athletic performance and every activities. The concepts he uses will tie in speed, power, agility, and coordination techniques that will improve any athlete’s performance level. I have personally trained with him using thes techniques and have been able to achieve my goals at a national level ranking of number 2 currently in BMX”.

Mike Watney, Head Golf Coach, Fresno State University, Fresno, CA

“Thanks to the assistance of former Fresno State strength and conditioning coach, Roberto Parker, along with  numerous articles and books, he has designed a program  in what might be the best conditioning  program for golf”.

Jeff Ford, World Champion Muay Thai Kickboxer, Grandview, MO

“I am a 2 time World Champion Muay Thai Fighter, Professional Boxer, and
Undefeated Ultimate Fighter. Prior to working with Roberto Parker, my
training consisted of the normal training for professional fighters -
distance running, and heavy weights. After working with Roberto for 4 weeks,
I noticed my speed and power had improved very much as well as my
coordination and timing. Roberto's methods emphasized the use of the whole
body in coordinated, timed, movements. After training for 6 months with
Roberto I fought and won my 3 World Title belt in 1 minute 30 seconds of the
first round by a dramatic knockout. Roberto did more for my power, speed,
and explosiveness in 6 months then my previous strength and conditioning
 coach did in 2 years".

Scott Seitter, Golfer, Attorney at Law, Kansas City, Missouri

I initially sought out Roberto because my left hip hurt when I tried to walk 18 holes of golf. I just wanted it to stop hurting. Three years later, my cholesterol has dropped from 230 to 170, my handicap has dropped from 14 to 6 and I can't remember when my hip last caused me any pain. And all without any medication - other than Roberto's workout therapy!

Jessica Kopp, Lee’s Summit Missouri, Volleyball Athlete

Roberto’s strength and agility training helped me step up my volleyball game so much.  He made it possible for me to make the varsity team at Lee’s Summit West my freshman year and I am also playing for a very competitive national team.  Doing his workouts made me stronger and quicker on the court.  Now, I can jump higher and swing harder.  Without Roberto, I don’t think it would have been possible for me to be the volleyball player that I am today.

I have been coaching high school basketball for the past 12 years. I know how important off-season conditioning is for the success during the season. I did not want my team this year to just be in good condition; I wanted them to be stronger and quicker. My team needed an edge, we found Roberto. At the end of the summer my guys were not only jumping higher but also getting they’re quicker. Roberto used old world hard work with new age technology in sports fitness. My guys are now more confident athletes. They loved the experience Roberto provided. I would recommend Roberto for anyone that wants more than conditioning, anyone looking for an edge. Thanks Roberto-

Chris Johnson, Head Basketball Coach, Lone Jack High School

I wanted to let you know what a great job you done last football season with our team. There was a huge difference in balance, speed and strength from our first practice to the last game(superbowl) which we won.I believe the conditioning and knowledge you taught our boys contributed to every win. This year I asked the returning players from last year if they would like to  take your speed and agility training again and without hesitation everyone was excited to do it again. The most important thing I believe is that the boys respect and believe in you and everything you teach.I am counting on you to help us reach our goals again this season.I would and have recommended your training to anyone that wants to go to the next level.

                                                        Thanks for your hard work,

I’ve played professional baseball for over 10 years, so I have had contact with numerous strength trainers. Eight months after back surgery I decided to see Roberto Parker at Innovative Sports Training. Roberto’s unique style of and sports-specific expertise took me  above and beyond my expectations to a physical level that I didn’t know I could get to. Working with him definitely made me a better athlete.

Todd Sears-Professional Baseball Player

At Belton High School we are constantly looking for an edge that will take our athletes, especially football players, to a higher level of performance. This past winter we found a person with a training system that may be the answer to what we seek.

This past winter (2006-07) we had 8 football players participate in Roberto Parkers' speed training sessions, two times a week for eight straight weeks and each player got better. Roberto utilizes a variety of techniques to develop core strength, flexibility, and power development in the chest, shoulders, and hips. I was so impressed with the training methods that I have incorporated a number of the drills into our spring and summer strength program. I continue to be impressed with the gains our players are making in speed, power, and flexibility.

Robertos' no nonsense approach is was good for the kids who participated. At the end of the program, all eight of the kids who participated had developed a new attitude towards working hard in an effort to improve. This new attitude has infected our entire strength program, even the kids who were not able to work with Roberto have seen the benefits and now have the same enthusiastic approach towards working out. In my 23 year career, I have run strength programs at the high school and college levels. The knowledge and intensity portrayed by Roberto has allowed us to have the best spring and summer strength program I have been a part of. The players and I are really looking forward to the upcoming season, we really believe the results will be displayed on the field of play.

While we wait for the results to be displayed during the football season, I can tell you that our baseball team has already reaped the benefits of this training session. Roberto did a number of drills that develop core (abdominal) strength. One of these drills involved weighted balls being throw laterally to a partner. When I first saw the drill I thought it looked a lot like a baseball player swinging a bat. Shortly after the beginning of baseball season, the coach asked me what I had done to some of his players. He went on to state that four of his returning players were hitting he ball harder and longer then ever. After explaining that those four players had participated in the speed training sessions, the baseball coach begged me to incorporate this drill into the existing strength program.

If you want to gain an edge, contact Roberto and get as many players as you can into his program. At Belton, I will be encouraging as many players as possible to sign up next winter. The cost on the program is very reasonable and the benefits are tremendous. I strongly recommend Roberto Parker and his program to any athlete or athletic program that wants to be the best.

Kelsi has been training with Roberto over a year and has seen phenomenal results.  The unique and challenging system that Roberto uses has helped her in every sport she competes in:  softball, basketball, track & volleyball.  She has gained 3" in her vertical jump, has gotten much stronger and is noticeably faster.  She now looks forward to training, knowing that hard work pays off!

Hi Roberto.  I just wanted to say "Thank You" for everything you helped Zach with this summer.  He really seems to have made great improvements and he gives all his credits to your class.  He has started 8th grade football and was a little worried about practice but says that practice is easy compared to your class and your class really got him in shape for football.  Everyone on our baseball team has made comments about how quick he has become this year and we give all our credit to you.  Thanks for all you do and he is looking forward to coming back this summer.  Thanks again.  Jennifer Zurbrick

Roberto:

I thought you might like some feedback on the results from your training efforts with Michael.  We don't always get to hear good feedback or get the pats-on-the-back we deserve sometimes.

After 2-a-day practices and getting down to the final preparations for their first game, Michael is starting on defense as a linebacker in a 3-5-3 defensive scheme.....he is the number 4 linebacker with responsibilities of guarding against the run and some pass defense.  On offense, he is starting as the right tackle.  He also has some responsibilities on the punt and kick-off return teams.  He is excelling very well and having a blast.

Thanks again for doing a great job with Michael, he has improved dramatically.

I just wanted to let you know that I did indeed make the Blue River

Trailblazers soccer team. I also earned my scholarship and am currently

a starter on the team. I have no doubt that training with you helped me

to accomplish these goals, and I thank you! I hope that one day I might

be able to return and train with you again.

Thank you for all your help!

 Sincerely,

Mason Bartlett, Blue River Soccer Team
